Dr. Dieter Reinisch is a historian, journalist, and university lecturer. He earned his doctorate in European contemporary history at the European University Institute in Florence and has conducted research at institutions including the Central European University in Budapest, Ruhr University Bochum, the University of St. Andrews, and the University of Galway. For his research and teaching activities, he has been awarded the titles of Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, as well as twice receiving the European Commission’s Seal of Excellence. He is the author of around 30 academic publications, including Terror: A History of Political Violence (Vienna: Promedia 2023), and is editor-in-chief of the Austrian Journalists‘ Club and the geopolitical magazine INTERNATIONAL.
